Fall brings new iPhones and a new version of iOS. This year Apple’s software platforms move from incremented numbers, to the year 26. iOS 26 brings a design overhaul with Liquid Glass. I have five apps on the App Store and it has been a busy time updating to the new modern design. I also decided to rewrite my PrivateMusicStudio2 app and modernize this app for my private teaching into a better version called PrivateLessons. Here are all of the updates to my personal apps.
PrivateLessons
PrivateLessons is for music teachers who want to track the progress of their students taking private lessons. Student information may be organized by semester including weekly lesson assignments, grades, and notes about student performances, accompanists, and ensemble participation. Technique and exercise assignments may be created and saved as templates for use with other students. Points may be used if desired for assessing student progress. Teachers can send progress reports to students to remind them of assignments. Notes may be synced to Google Drive for sharing with students.
PrivateLessons takes advantage of Apple’s latest technologies including Swift Data, CloudKit, Widget’s, and Apple Watch. Its companion iPad app is takes advantage of the larger screen and is big upgrade from my previous private studio app. I was fortunate to be working on this app when Liquid Glass was announced.

PracticeMeter
Improve your daily, weekly, and monthly practice habits by tracking your progress each day. Whether you are a practicing musician, athlete, or are learning a new skill, PracticeMeter can help you in organizing and motivating your personal practice. Available on iPhone and Apple Watch.
Updated for Liquid Glass.

ClarinetRepertoire
Clarinet Repertoire is a database of over 1200 pieces of clarinet music. This catalog represents some of the more common works for clarinetists from the Classical period until today. New works will be added over time, and users may submit new pieces for inclusion in future updates. Available on iPhone and iPad.
The design of ClarinetRepertoire has been refined and uses Apple’s new toolbars for search. New works for clarinet have also been added to this release. Like PrivateLessons, it is much better designed for the iPad than it used to be.

AudioAid
AudioAid is a note-taking app for recording engineers. Use AudioAid to track markers and take quick notes about which takes should be kept in your final edit. AudioAid doesn’t record audio but is instead a note-taking tool for tracking markers and creating notes about your recording session. Available on iPhone and Apple Watch.
Shortcuts for Luna have been added as well as updates for Liquid Glass.

GolfScore
I created GolfScore because I wanted a fast and simple way to keep score while playing. I have tried many of the golf apps on the App Store and most of them offer more features than GolfScore, including GPS features, but I found all of them to be more complicated than I needed.
I wanted a really simple scorecard for my iPhone and Apple Watch. The main interface uses Apple’s new Liquid Glass Tab View.
